Restaurant Botanic Lodge, 2025

Custom botanical illustration created for Botanic Lodge, located in the heart of the Adelaide Botanic Gardens on the Main Lake, Kainka Wirra. 

 To tie in with the restaurant’s Banksia logo and overall native botanical theme, this design features the Banksia ornata (Tarnma), a South Australian endemic species. 

 Merging together traditional with modern methods in the portrayal of flora, the modern mandala pattern describes the circular and holistic approach to nature which is echoed throughout the restaurant’s ethos and practice. The natural colours of the Banksia also tie in with the décor of the restaurant’s interior, highlighting natural, earthy tones and textures.
